Dropped the car off in the morning and was repaired by 2pm. Pleasantly surprised that the car had also been washed and valeted.

My car was subject to recall related to the the exhaust system. It needed a replacement part, but none were available in the country. The car was off the road for several weeks and nearly led to cancelling a holiday until I contacted BMW UK.
Whenever I've gone into my local dealership, I've never my found my experience to be pleasant either when purchasing or getting a service. Just feels like the staff don't care, the mechanics seem sloppy and I always have to go back.

The idrive was given new software.
I have 2 cars. The other car is not a BMW. It is regularly serviced by the franchised dealer from whom I bought it new. This other dealer beats HJ in terms of pleasantness to the customer and efficiency with which they deal with me.

Only slight issue was when I pointed out corrosion on two alloy wheels (the car isn't even 2 years old). The dealership agreed to change them under warranty when pressed
I have booked a service on two separate occasions requesting that a light cover be replaced on the car. On both occasions I was told the part wasn't in stock. In spite of the fact I booked the service over a month in advance.

Service staff were all pleasant and friendly. I was kept informed of progress, and generally treated well. If only the sales staff had conducted themselves similarly: then you might have got the sale too.

The service and staff were excellent, however after initially being told the car service would take no more than two hours, it was in fact three and a half hours before my car was ready. I was sat waiting in the showroom the whole time!

All satisfactory - Just one aspect that could be improved. Car dropped off at the garagefor service at 08:00 but courtesy driver not on duty until 08:30. Had to wait 35 minutes for a lift home.
We had booked a courtesy car which was on the paperwork, but it had not been booked on the system. There were none available. Fortunately we got a mini from the mini dealership next door, but no fuel in it so had to get fuel leaving us late for work.
